Started by a father and son team who were frustrated with how many different cartridge options are currently being offered by other manufacturers Empire Cartridges is the new kid on the block in the shotgun cartridge world.
The long term goal for Empire Cartridges is to create a community of like-minded people who enjoy shooting and want a cartridge brand they can rely on to be constantly high performing and available. Currently only 70mm 12 bore cartridges are being manufactured, however, the duo aim to expand the range to offer smaller gauge and non-toxic products.
Below is the current combination of components being put in to the cartridges:
Case – 16mm Brass, double density case wall in translucent red “because no one likes searching for a green case in the long grass”,
Primer – Cheddite CX2000,
Powder – PB Clermont Double Base,
WAD – EnviroWAD (proudly made in the UK),
Shot – 3% Antimony tower dropped lead shot. All sizes are true English sizes and can be gold plated on request.
