Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 Thermal Imaging Binoculars

First introduced at the Great British Shooting Show 2023, the Merger LRF XL50 is Pulsar’s first ever thermal imaging device to feature a high resolution 1080p thermal sensor which provide astonishing image clarity at any magnification level.

Powerful, High Resolution Thermal Optics

The Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 has been designed to provide unparalleled identification capabilities at incredibly long distances. It features a 1024×768, 12µm, <40mK NETD thermal sensor and 50mm f1.0 fast aperture germanium objective lens; this all helps it to achieve a crystal-clear image that remains well-defined no matter what level of its 2.5x-20.0x magnification it is set to.

Designed for Comfort

The Merger LRF XL50 retains the classic binocular design that was first introduced to the Pulsar range with the Merger LRF XP50, offering an ergonomic design that remains both familiar and comfortable in the hand, even during long periods of observation.

By receiving visual information through two separate channels simultaneously, the Merger LRF XL50 helps to reduce eye strain. It features an adjustable interpupillary distance of 62-74mm which results in better performance in low contrast scenarios than you would experience through a single-channel thermal monocular.

Error-Free Assessments

The built in laser rangefinder will allow you to make precise measurements up to a distance of 1,000 metres with an accuracy of ±1m in single step or continuous scanning modes.

Outstanding Durability

With its high-quality magnesium alloy housing, the Merger LRF XL50 can withstand prolonged use in harsh conditions. Remaining both lightweight and incredibly tough, this magnesium alloy bodyshell ensures these binoculars are always comfortable to use, whilst protecting the internal components against shocks, drops, moisture, heat, and extreme cold. This housing will also work as a heat sink, effectively dissipating any heat produced from internal electronics and increasing the consistency of operation over long periods of observation.

The IPX7 waterproof rating adds an extra layer of protection against adverse conditions such as heavy rainfall, snow, and high levels of humidity. The device will remain operational when immersed in up to 1 metre of water for up to thirty minutes.

These thermal imaging binoculars will even operate perfectly within a wide range of operating temperatures, with the housing, power unit, optics, and electronics remaining flawlessly operational in temperatures between -25 to +50°C.
