IWA OutdoorClassics cancelled due to COVID-19

Initially NürnbergMesse had decided to postpone the IWA OutdoorClassics Show from March until September 2020, however due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on the global economy, it has been decided to cancel it entirely.

IWA OutdoorClassics is the world-leading trade fair for hunting, shooting sports, equipment for outdoor activities and for civilian and official security applications. It is usually held at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, Germany, in the springtime every year and is only open to trade visitors. In 2019 the fair welcomed 1,619 exhibitors and 45,476 visitors from 121 countries.

The next IWA OutdoorClassics will take place from 12-15 March 2021. Coronavirus will have had a detrimental effect on the industry as whole, not just in monetary terms but also the actual relationships between people during lockdown; Rebecca Schönfelder, Exhibition Director IWA OutdoorClassics hopes “the IWA OutdoorClassics 2021 will serve the industry as a platform for its global relaunch.”
