Tikka T3x – New Models

Tikka have released a range of new models in the T3x range. These new models all have synthetic stocks and compliment the existing 21 models. The T3x lineup really does cater for shooters of all disciplines and tastes.

In March this year Tikka celebrated the historic moment of seeing the one millionth T3/T3x roll off the production line. The first T3 model was introduced in 2002 as a lower priced production rifle that was extremely accurate out of the box.

Here are the new models introduced into the T3x range:

T3x LITE VEIL WIDELAND

The T3x Lite Veil Wideland has been developed for shooters who spend time in the southern forests and open plains. The barrel has been coated with Cerakote (a durable polymer-ceramic coating) to enhance its durability in all weathers. A muzzle brake has been included for recoil reduction.

A fluted bolt with an oversized knob also comes as standard. The barrel is also fluted, which combined with the fluted bolt helps to optimise the rifle’s weight.

T3x LITE VEIL ALPINE

The T3x Lite Veil Alpine comes with same features as the T3x Lite Veil Wideland above, except the colours on this model are suited for mountain terrains and snowy landscapes.

T3x LITE ROUGHTECH

This model has been paired with Sako’s Roughtech stock. These stocks are coated with a rough surface texture that offers solid grip in all weather conditions. A muzzle brake is included to reduce the recoil.

Again, a fluted bolt and barrel, and an oversized knob come as standard. By fluting the barrel and the bolt the weight of the rifle is optimised.

T3x UPR

UPR is an acronym for Ultimate Precision Rifle. This rifle sees the introduction of a new kind of lightweight stock construction: the bedding features an extra layer of carbon fiber mixed with fiberglass for increased rigidity and accuracy. To ensure that grip is not compromised when shooting in inclement conditions the stock has been coated with a rough surface. Two front sling studs have been fitted to allow the simultaneous attachment of both a bipod and a sling. You can choose between a single stage or a set trigger. All muzzles in this model are threaded with 5/8×24 thread to allow the fitment of a sound moderator.

The stock on the T3x UPR has an adjustable cheek piece to allow you to get the perfect alignment with your scope (personally I would like for so many more rifles to feature this as a standard option as it is extremely useful).

This model also comes with either a 0 MOA picatinny rail or a 20 MOA inclined rail (allowing longer distance shots to be made).
