This new Ridgeline jacket has been designed from the ground up to meet the demanding conditions that it will be subjected to. It is reliable and abrasion-resistant for long, hard days in the very worst weather, this waterproof jacket won’t let you down when you need it the most.
When it comes to waterproofing Ridgeline have adopted a ‘belt and braces’ approach: the 2-layer outer is made up of a durable Nylon outer fabric laminated to a waterproof and breathable membrane offering a Hydrostatic Head of 10,000mm. The jacket’s inner comprises of a soft, comfortable polyester liner with a second waterproof membrane providing a Hydrostatic Head of 5,000mm. The combination of these membranes is much higher than any global standard for waterproof clothing fabrics. Any condensation that forms within the jacket is locked away in the gap between the two layers, this makes it comfortable to wear in warmer conditions.
The Ladies Frontier Jacket has the characteristic ‘New Zealand’ cut that can be found elsewhere the Ridgeline range of jackets. This signature cut has an extra-long scooped back for complete protection when you are bending over or sitting on a quad bike. An adjustable drawcord at the waist helps to fine-tune the fit and keep warmth inside (the excess drawcord is safely tucked away on the inside of the jacket to prevent it from snagging whilst you are working). Velcro-adjustable cuffs with thick neoprene inner cuffs keep your wrists warm and help to prevent water dripping down your sleeves.
The full length zip is protected by a wide storm flap that is fastened using poppers, and the full-protection hood has a wired peak and three points of adjustment to ensure a close fit – all of which help to further protect you from wet and stormy weather. The hood is also completely detachable should you wish to remove it.
There are five pockets on this jacket: two large external chest pockets, a zipped one and a cargo one with a popper closure; two lower zipped pockets; and a pocket located outside the main zip but inside the storm flap for accessories that need to be kept dry.
