CZ have teamed up with MDT to create the CZ 600 MDT, a rifle “built to dominate the PRS Production division” and all other tactical precision shooting sports.
This latest addition to the CZ 600 lineup comes in an MDT chassis which has M-LOK mounting points and an Arca Swiss rail to mount accessories. Optics can be mounted to the rifle via the Picatinny rail and the rifle also features: a 24 inch (610mm) heavy profile cold hammer forged barrel; an innovative single-stage, easy to adjust trigger mechanism (adjustable from 6-13.5N); and a specially designed MDT AICS 10-round magazine, equipped with a propriety CZ follower. The CZ BREN 2-style ambidextrous safety is oversized and made from aluminium – its design means it can also be used as a thumb rest.
CZ guarantees sub-0.75 MOA accuracy when shooting five shot groups at 100 metres using match-grade factory ammunition.
There are two models: Dark Bronze and Grey. Both have a Cerakote finish on the chassis and an anti-corrosive, nitride finish on the action.
Both models are available in 308 Win. and 6mm Creedmoor (with twist rates of 1:10 /4 and 1:7 /6 respectively).
CZ 600 MDT Deep Bronze
This bronze colour is used by CZ to denote that this model is the range’s top choice for competition (the colour is also found on CZ’s TS 2 Deep Bronze pistol that is their ultimate for competing in IPSC).
The Deep Bronze model features an MDT SRS billet aluminium buttstock. No tools are needed to fully adjust the length-of-pull (from 320mm to 350mm), height of the cheekpiece, or the height and axis of the buttpad.
The pistol grip is an MDT Vertical Grip, it has an aluminium core with a comfortable rubber overmould with grooves and texturing for a non-slip grip. You can adjust the distance (10mm forward/backward) and angle (10° angular adjustment) from the grip to the trigger – allowing you to maintain a natural grip and place your index finger in the optimal position on the trigger, providing a true parallel trigger pull.
This model comes with a three-chamber muzzle brake which mounts to the barrel via a standard M18 thread, reducing recoil and helping with pin point accuracy and fast follow up shots.
This rifle is 1,140–1,170mm long and weighs 5.6kg (12lbs 5oz).
CZ 600 MDT Grey
The CZ 600 MDT Grey model features an MDT CCS buttstock – a lightweight, durable polymer buttstock that can be easily adjusted. The height of the cheekpiece can be adjusted without tools and the length-of-pull can be changed from 330mm to 355mm with spacers .
The grip is an MDT Pistol Grip Elite, which, unlike the Deep Bronze model’s, is non-adjustable and fixed at an angle. It is made from a one-piece reinforced polymer core with a comfortable Santoprene tactical overmould. It features a palm swell, slight texturing and grooves to provide maximum comfort and grip for both left and right-handed shooters.
The muzzle is has an M18 thread to allow you to fit a muzzle brake, compensator, or moderator of your choice.
This rifle is 1,100–1,125mm long and weighs 5.3kg (11lbs 10oz).
