With the Shooting Community coming under to pressure to move away from lead in ammunition, Sako has developed and released the new Powerhead BLADE bullet. This bullet is available for the following rifle calibres: 9.3×62, 308 WIN, 6.5×55 SE, 9.3×66 SAKO, 300 WIN MAG, 6.5 Creedmoor, 30-06 Springfield.
The Sako BLADE is made from 100% copper and introduces the Terminal BLADE Tip. By combining this new Tip with the 5-stage bullet expansion architecture, this bullet promises to expand at even the lowest impact velocities, whilst also ensuring high resistance against bone and close-range shooting situations.
The Tri-Blade Tip design, together with the reaction chamfer, provides immediate bullet expansion and optimised mushrooming at various distances. The mushrooming of the bullet is further improved by the the high ductility of the pure copper used in its manufacture. The bullet also has a high ballistic coefficient for a flatter trajectory.
