Pulsar Digex C50 – Colour the Darkness

The intuitive new Pulsar Digex C50 is a digital night vision riflescope that can also be used as a standard day optic.

The C50 is the next step for the Digex series, and it offers several improvements over its predecessor such as: a more powerful 1928×1088 FHD CMOS sensor, SumLight functionality, an intelligent dual battery system, video and still image recording capabilities, and Stream Vision 2 connectivity.

Perfect Picture — Anywhere, Anytime

Retaining the classic aesthetics of a regular day scope with a 30mm housing in order to mount seamlessly onto a rifle, the Digex C50 can be used 24/7, with different sensor operating modes providing the best possible image at any time of day.

During the day this scope will achieve realistic daytime colour rendering, combining the full-colour imaging usually found on a classic day scope with ultimate digital functionality that results in a detailed picture. As the sun starts to set, simply switch the scope to Colour Twilight mode and witness bright imaging with colour rendering almost as accurate as daytime mode,. In deep twilight, when the naked eye is struggling to recognise details of objects, the pictures through the Pulsar Digex C50 is incredibly clear. Once darkness finally falls, switching the device to Night mode will present a crystal-clear black and white digital night vision image via the 1928×1088 CMOS sensor offering a night-time detection range of up to 550m. For an even greater night-time image, advanced firmware algorithms within the Digex C50 work to equalise the image brightness when the riflescope is used in conjunction with an IR illuminator — eliminating the flood exposure from foreground objects, increasing the brightness of distant objects, and resulting in a more comfortable viewing experience in which tall grass and surrounding shrubbery cause no obstruction during long-range night-time observation.

Images are presented onto a stunning 1024×768 HD AMOLED display, which uses enhanced colour rendering to ensure fluid and flawless high-resolution imagery with a crisp, richly contrasted, and vividly detailed field of view.

Keeping You Covered Day and Night

The Digex C50 is powered by a rechargeable dual battery system which consists of one built-in 4.9 Ah battery and one replaceable 2 Ah battery. A single charge will offer up to 10 hours of battery life (depending on the temperature) which should easily cover the time of active scope use during a hunt. Further preservation of battery life is achieved through the scopes Auto Power Off and Display Off functionalities. Once activated, Display Off mode will deactivate image transmission to the display by reducing screen brightness to an absolute minimum (entering standby mode rather than powering down the unit entirely) and allowing the device to power back up in just three seconds. Auto Power Off mode will automatically power down the riflescope when it detects that it is being held in a non-operating position. Holding the riflescope up or down at an angle of 70°, or tilting to the left or right at 30° for 60 seconds will trigger the Auto Power Off function and controls and buttons will be disabled.

The replaceable battery features an embossed design to enable quick and confident determination of its position when switching batteries in complete darkness, this will result in less time fumbling around in the dark and more time focusing on the task at hand.

SumLight™ Technology

Built-in SumLight technology works to increase sensor sensitivity, enabling a passive observation (without an IR illuminator) in low light conditions and total darkness. It automatically activates algorithms and increases the sensitivity while maintaining a high level of image quality.

A Reticle For Any Situation

The Pulsar Digex C50 has a choice of ten different reticles which vary in colour, configuration, and function – direct shot and ballistic, scalable (FFP), and non-scalable (SFP). The scope has five shooting profiles in which you can store 10 zeroing distances in each, giving you the capacity to store a total of 50 zeroing distances – this will enable you to use the scope across a number of different rifles and cartridges.

Tough Build Quality

The magnesium alloy housing of the Digex C50 is resistant to knocks, scrapes, and adverse weather conditions. The scope can operate effectively in a wide range of temperatures (from -25 to +50°C), and it boasts an IPX7 waterproof rating. You’ll be hard-pressed to find an environment or situation the Digex C50 can’t handle – it will continue to operate in heavy rain, snow, fog, and environments with high levels of humidity. It can even survive a dip in 1 metre of water for up to thirty minutes. The magnesium alloy bodyshell also works as a heat-sink, effectively dissipating any warmth generated by the riflescope’s inner electronics and allowing it to provide a consistent, reliable operation.

Not only is the scope’s body incredibly durable but the scope has high calibre recoil and shock resistance. You can use this scope with rifle calibres up to .375 H&H, shotgun gauges up to 12 bore, as well as smooth-bore and pneumatic weapons without issue.

Connectivity and Digital Functions

Adding to the already impressive list of features, the Digex C50 offers digital functionalities and connectivity options aplenty, including a built-in Wi-Fi module for speedy data transfer, an integrated still image and video recorder with audio, and 16GB internal storage or 16GB free cloud storage with Stream Vision 2.

For access to even more connectivity features, download the Stream Vision 2 app and link your phone to the Digex C50. This will enable several features, including remote control over the scope from your phone, browsing and sharing videos or pictures captured on any connected device, remote firmware updates, and access to the Pulsar newsfeed.
