Fortis Clothing have released three new products for you and one for your dog that have all been designed and manufactured for you both to enjoy the countryside no matter what the weather.
Fortis Clothing is a British manufacturer that has grown from a rural farm in Axminster producing rear tyre and seat covers for 4x4s to a company that produces high quality and durable outdoor clothing. Fortis Clothing is renowned for its use of Ripstop Polycotton Fabric which is produced by Fortis in Devon and used by specialists globally.
Waterproof Nightguard
Due to the popularity of the Fleece Nightguard, Fortis have developed a waterproof version that is also lighter in weight. This utility smock weighs under 750g and enables you to stay dry whilst still being able to vent. The outer of the Windproof Nightguard is similar to the Fleece Nightguard, however, instead of fibre pile it is lined with Fortis’ 20K HH drop-liner. This smock is windproof, waterproof, breathable, tough and durable ensuring that you are comfortable for all aspects of outdoor pursuits. The Waterproof Nightguard is incredibly versatile with 6 pockets, a front half zip, two-way side zips and a detachable hood. It will make a great addition to your waterproof wardrobe!

Windproof Nightguard
The alternative to Fortis’ Fleece and Waterproof Nightguard models is the Windproof Nightguard. Weighing next to nothing, it has been nicknamed “Summer Nights, Stalkers Dream”! The outer is similar to that of the Fleece Nightguard, but instead of fibre pile, this smock is lined with Mini-Rip. The Ripstop shell offers high breathability yet extreme windproof performance. This is the perfect smock for outdoor enthusiasts who need light weight protection in changeable conditions.
You have the option of whether your Windproof Nighguard comes with or without a hood and the following colour choices: DPM, Black, Coyote, MFP, Navy or Olive Green.
Explorer Scoop Back Gilet
Fortis believe this is the perfect farmers friend. With lambing season having just finished, Fortis’ farming friends have asked them to make a long backed gilet and this is the simple yet brilliant design they have come up with to make cold nights working in the barn become a little easier. The Explorer Scoop Back Gilet (which also comes in a waterproof version) has a low scooped back tail to stop exposure to the elements and allow you to work freely. It is the ideal companion between seasons and can be worn as an outer piece in its own right or as a mid-layer inside a jacket to provide extra warmth.

Dog Coats
Now you and your dog can have matching coats with Fortis’ new dog coat. The Fortis Dog Coat will keep your four-legged companion warm and dry. This coat has been designed using the same system as the waterproof coats for humans. They are manufactured with a combination of a tough ripstop or wax outer, a waterproof drop-liner, and for added comfort, Fortis’ fleece inside! Fortis’ military graded Velcro has been used to ensure the coat remains secure during long walks whilst also being easy to adjust around the chest and belly. These dog coats are windproof, breathable and easy to care for.

Fortis will custom make your dog a coat if the sizes on offer do not fit or relate to your dog’s body. You can also have your dog’s name embroidered on the coat, and Fortis’ sister company, Massy-Birch, is making Tweed versions.
