Longthorne 'Gallant' Model 4001

The Longthorne ‘Gallant’ Model 4001 side-by-side shotgun is available in 12-gauge, chambered for 3” cartridges, and proofed for superior steel up to full choke, or ½ choke if fitted with multi chokes. This shotgun features a 30” barrel meticulously adorned with acanthus engraving, adding a touch of elegance to its appearance.

The ‘Gallant’ boasts a true sidelock action engraved with an acanthus scroll, showcasing the impeccable craftsmanship Longthorne is renowned for. Its standard forend metalwork, inclusive of a push-button release and a standard splinter forend, ensures a balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal.

With attention to detail, the standard trigger guard and top lever are both engraved in the acanthus scroll design, harmonising with the overall aesthetic of the shotgun.

Tailoring precision and comfort, the stock is made-to-measure and can be configured as straight hand, semi-pistol grip, pistol grip, or Prince of Wales, and can be made for true left-handed shooters too. It features an ‘Extra’ grade walnut stock with a checkered heel.

The ‘Gallant’ Model 4001 is delivered in an English Malton leather gun slip or an ABS case for exported models. Entirely manufactured and built at Longthorne’s Northampton factory in England, this shotgun features patented barrel technology, constructed from a single piece of steel without soldered joints. Additionally, it is proofed for High Performance Steel, ensuring low recoil and reduced muzzle flip for a superior shooting experience.
