Longthorne 'Buckingham' Model 1003

The Longthorne ‘Buckingham’ Model 1003 over-and-under shotgun is a testament to refined craftsmanship and versatility.

This model is offered in various gauges—12, 16, 20, and 28—and is also available as multi-barrel sets upon request.

With a chamber designed for 3” shells, the shotgun is proofed for High-Performance Steel up to full choke with fixed chokes (or ½ choke if equipped with multi-chokes). Barrel lengths range from 28”, 30”, to 32”, all adorned with exquisite acanthus scroll engraving, adding an artistic touch to its design.

The action of the shotgun is a true sidelock engraved with an acanthus scroll design, exemplifying the meticulous attention to detail. The forend showcases standard metalwork, with an underlever release catch engraved in the same acanthus scroll design. Different forend wood styles are available, including rounded, slim rounded, beavertail, and semi-beavertail.

Its standard beaded trigger guard, approximately 80mm in length, is engraved in the acanthus scroll design, harmonising with the overall aesthetic. The standard top lever also features the acanthus scroll engraving, contributing to its elegant appearance.

The shotgun boasts a game rib and a stock tailored to individual specifications, available in straight hand, semi-pistol grip, pistol grip, Prince of Wales, and true left-handed configurations. Crafted from top-grade walnut, the stock includes a checkered heel.

The ‘Buckingham’ Model 1003 comes packaged in an English Malton leather gun slip, reflecting its high-quality craftsmanship. This Longthorne creation is 100% English-made, crafted meticulously in their Northampton factory. Its patented barrel technology, constructed from a single piece of steel without soldered joints, is proofed for steel, offering reduced recoil and muzzle flip, along with a low-profile action for improved shooting comfort and control.
