Available in 12, 16, 20, and 28 bores, the ‘Berkley’ Model 1005 can also be produced as multi-barrel sets, offering versatility to suit individual preferences.
The shotgun boasts a 3” chamber, featuring high-performance steel proofing up to full choke with fixed chokes only (or ½ choke if equipped with multi-chokes). Barrel lengths range from 28”, 30”, to 32”, each adorned with the distinctive ‘Nouveau’ style engraving, capturing the artistic essence of the era.
The action of the shotgun is a true sidelock adorned with the ‘Nouveau’ design, incorporating an auto safe feature and a gold-plated trigger. The forend showcases extended metalwork, featuring an underlever release catch engraved in the ‘Nouveau’ style, while offering various forend wood styles including rounded, slim rounded, beavertail, and semi-beavertail.
Enhancing its visual appeal, the shotgun includes an extended full-length beaded trigger guard engraved with the ‘Nouveau’ design and grip cap, along with a pierced top lever engraved in the same style. It features a game rib and a meticulously crafted stock, tailor-made to the user’s specifications, available in straight hand, semi-pistol grip, pistol grip, Prince of Wales, and true left-handed configurations. The stock is made of top-grade walnut and includes a checkered heel, with an option for a silver stock oval engraved with initials if desired.
Delivered in an English Malton leather gun slip, the Longthorne ‘Berkley’ Model 1005 shotgun is 100% English-made, manufactured in Longthorne’s Northampton factory. It boasts patented barrel technology constructed from a single piece of steel without soldered joints, proofed for steel, offering reduced recoil and muzzle flip, and featuring a low-profile action for enhanced shooting comfort and control.
