FAIR Jubilee
FAIR brings together timeless design and cutting-edge technology in the creation of their over-and-under shotgun line, exemplified by the Jubilee models. These shotguns exude an air of elegance and refinement, featuring distinct profile actions, intricately fretted top levers, and a golden crown atop the lever. The addition of a new Prince of Wales stock design and an owl-beak wood fore-end further accentuates their sophisticated aesthetic. Crafted from select high-quality walnut, these shotguns boast fine-pitch checkering and a wooden butt plate.
One of the standout features of these Jubilee models lies in their exclusive construction, characterised by four distinct action bodies tailored for 12, 16, 20, and 28 gauges. Notably, FAIR takes pride in being one of the select few manufacturers worldwide to offer a 16-gauge over-and-under shotgun, complete with an action expressly designed for this calibre.
The action components, including action bodies, trigger plates, iron fore-ends, and barrel extractors, are precision-milled from forged steel ingots, in response to the preferences of many customers who favour steel over alloy receivers for its perceived durability. The slender profile of the action body houses internal batteries, equipped with a double safety notch for secure operation. A single oversize block, measuring 30.50 mm for 12 bore models, rests steadfastly on double lugs, ensuring robust performance.
The barrels, fashioned from a special three-alloyed steel, undergo meticulous machining from bored bars. Internally chromed bores and chambers not only extend the lifespan but also enhance corrosion resistance and optimise shot pattern distribution.
Whilst a single trigger configuration is standard, double triggers can be specially requested for a customised shooting experience.
For left-handed shooters, a dedicated version is available for an additional cost. It’s worth noting that only 12 and 20 bore models carry the distinction of being steel shot proofed.
