AYA XXV/SL
The celebrated XXV/SL by AYA pays homage to the iconic E.J. Churchill XXV, a game gun that revolutionised the early 20th century English firearms landscape. Engineered by the esteemed instructor Robert Churchill, it ingeniously combined shorter barrels with a distinctive high, tapered rib, creating a visual illusion of extended length.
This hammerless sidelock, with its exclusive floral, ribbon, and scroll engraving, epitomises the XXV’s heritage. The action is available in three finishes: colour hardened, old silver, or bright. The gun features double triggers, a straight-hand walnut stock, meticulously checkered, and finished with grade 2 wood.
The XXV/SL exemplifies British preferences in firearms, offering a competitive alternative to its London counterparts.
Its features encompass a forged steel action, complete with double locking mechanism and gas vents, along with hardened steel intercepting safety sears. The gun boasts gold-lined cocking indicators, and the option of selective or non-selective single triggers.
The 25-inch chopper lump steel barrels, with the Churchill rib, enhance both its aesthetic and functional appeal. Its engraving showcases the exquisite craftsmanship with fine floral, ribbon, and scroll motifs, while the initial oval adds a personal touch.
The XXV/SL is available in 12, 16, 20, 28 and .410 bores. For the 12, 16, and 20 bores, the engraving is rolled, while the 28 and .410 bores receive hand engraving.
