Developed in partnership with Land Rover this Lego Technic replica of the new model Defender has over 2,500 pieces so it should keep you busy for some time.
Land Rover’s new Defender has divided opinions; the old versions were loved by many and the thought of replacing it with something modern was seen as sacrilege to some. In the other camp people were keen to see it get redesigned and brought into the 21st century.
When built this model will measure over 8” (22cm) high, 16” (42cm) long and 7” (20cm) wide.The lengths that Lego have gone to with this model are staggering, the doors open to reveal an elaborate cabin that has a working steering wheel, levers for engaging high or low ratio gears and folding seats. It also has an in-line 6-cylinder engine with moving pistons beneath the bonnet, working All Wheel Drive with 3 differentials, independent suspension on both axles and a working winch!
Defenders are synonymous with shooting – you never have to look hard to see one when out in the field – and this model should keep you busy enough until the season rolls round again!
