Farlows’ new AW22 collection focuses on garments made from the best fabrics from around the United Kingdom.
Farlows was founded in Crooked Lane, London in 1840 by brothers Charles and John King Farlow. The Farlow family remained at the heart of the business for the next 120 years, where they have helped to establish the company as the foremost innovators in the world of fishing tackle. In 1982 a Royal Warrant was award to Farlows by HRH King Charles III as a mark of recognition for its supply of fishing tackle and waterproof clothing to the Royal Household and it has been reviewed since. Today Farlows has been operating for over 175 years and have a flagship store in Pall Mall from where they help provide the finest equipment, clothing, and advice to country sports enthusiasts around the world.
Farlows focuses mainly on the traditions within sports and seek out ways to bring them into the 21st century using modern technology and practices. The starting point for the Farlows AW22 collection is a new hero tweed which has been Teflon coated to give it the edge when out in the field. Two new men’s tweeds have been added to this year’s collection: Burgundy Club check and the Dark Olive Houndstooth, and Heather check tweed has been added to the ladies’ collection.

The Farlows Sports Jacket is cut as a traditional tailored jacket, but with a twist. This tweed sports jacket is completely unstructured, which gives the jacket a slightly more casual feel. This is mostly noticed across the shoulders, where traditionally a sports jacket would have structure. The jacket also features a self-fabric top collar and under collar, which is another nod to it’s slightly more casual feel and construction.

The Farlows Norfolk Tweed Shooting Jacket is cut as a traditional tailored jacket. This men’s tweed shooting coat features large bellows cartridge pockets with a buttoned flap that also has a retainer to hold open, it has fleece lined hand warmer pockets and also features a working button cuff and a double vent at the rear. Produced in Farlows’ Green Herringbone tweed and the new Olive Houndstooth, which is woven exclusively for Farlows in Hawick, Scottish Borders.

It has large cartridge pockets which makes it possible for the wearer to shoot in it. Farlows use only the finest Loden milled out of Austria by one of the oldest Loden mills in existence.
