With an artful design and perfect ergonomics, the CZ 457 Thumbhole has a sturdy laminated stock with a unique integrated trigger guard and comes in a grey/brown colour scheme.
The 457 series is CZ’s latest rimfire action that has made an enormous leap in all of the key user parameters found on CZ’s previous actions. The CZ 457 series offer exceptional user comfort due to its easy, fast and reliable operation. To ensure maximum safety there is a positive safety on the right side of the receiver, a striker status indicator and a separate bolt extractor control. Improvements have also been made to the accuracy of the rifle due to: the new adjustable trigger mechanism that features a low trigger pull weight and excellent travel, and a noticeably lighter striker, and a new type of bedding. All metal parts are coated with an extremely durable anti-corrosion finish that CZ claim has no equal on the market. The CZ 457 series had retained the modular system that allows for the easy replacement of barrels and change of calibers, as well as the durable polymer magazines as seen on the previous CZ rimfire generation.
The CZ 457 Thumbhole is equally comfortable for both right-handed and left-handed shooters due to the symmetrical features of the stock. The stable nature of the laminated stock and the varmint cold hammer forged barrel allow shooters to effectively engage medium and long-range targets (however, CZ have also released a specific long range model if you are interested in tackling targets at extreme distances).
The 20″ barrelled version of the 457 Thumbhole is chambered in .22 LR and comes with the option of chambering in the more powerful .17 HMR or .22 WMR. Whereas the 16″ barrelled version is only available in .22 LR. Both versions have a threaded ½ x20 UNF muzzle and come equipped with an efficient cylindrical compensator.
