The importance of dry firing your rifle to get a feel for the trigger break can not be underestimated. Repeatedly doing the same movements will develop your muscle memory resulting in more accurate shots when it matters time and time again.
The Accurize shooting system has brought dry firing your rifle into the 21st century. There are three components to the system: a laser cartridge, a target, and an app.
The rimless laser cartridge comes in a variety of calibres (.22 LR, .222 REM, .223 REM, .243 WIN, .30-06 SPRG, .308 WIN, 6.5×55 SW, 6.5mm Creedmoor, 6mm BR Norma, 9.3×62, and other pistol and shotgun calibres). The lack of extraction groove means that it will not be ejected and will stay in place in the chamber throughout your session.
Each time you fire at the target the laser is activated and instantly records your shot on target in the free app. This allows you to drill down into your shooting technique, spot any errors and correct them before you develop any bad habits that may cause you to miss the shot of a lifetime.
The app allows you to create different firearm profiles and targets. You can track your progress over time using the session history features (which include easy to read charts).
There are a number of different targets to choose from, all are interchangeable and scaled for the appropriate distances. The target, which is made from a special plastic that allows the laser to register each hit, slides into a frame that is locked onto a tripod.
The system can also be used to calibrate and sight with the App’s in-built sight adjustment feature.
