Perazzi MX12
The Perazzi MX12 line is a favoured choice for sporting and game shooting. It shares an identical barrel locking system with the MX8 but integrates a non-detachable selective trigger system, activated by the safety catch. This model features coil springs in the trigger system and light border engraving on the frame.
Offering a high degree of customisation, the MX12 series is available in seven levels of engraving and wood quality, allowing customisation of barrel length, choking, rib styles, and stock specifications to meet individual preferences.
Variants within the MX12 range include the MX16, scaled down from the MX12, and the MX20, which operates on a smaller frame. Additionally, the MX28 and MX410 models are available on scaled-down frames, with the option to fit 28 and .410 gauge barrels to 12 or 20 gauge actions for an additional charge.
Barrels across the MX12 models are interchangeable, but fitting may require the expertise of a gunsmith, particularly if rib types differ significantly.
Chambers come in 2 ½” (65mm), 2 ¾” (70mm), and 3” (76mm) Magnum, all ‘Superproofed’ for High Performance Steel Shot.
The MX12 range offers a light monobloc option available exclusively on 12 gauge guns, aimed at reducing barrel weight by 30grams.
Customisation options extend to woodwork upgrades up to the SCO Sideplate, allowing customers to select stock and forend styles. However, limitations exist concerning interchangeability between detachable and non-detachable models in terms of stocks.
Choking options vary from 0 (CYL) to 11 (X/Full), or multi-choke on one or both barrels, with the availability of reverse choking for game guns.
Ribs are available in different dimensions across models, including various top rib options and side ribs, catering to individual preferences.
The non-detachable trigger groups feature coil springs, selectivity on the safety catch, and options for auto-safe and reversed firing sequences.
Aftermarket set back triggers are available with set-back choices of either 5mm or 10mm.
