Longthorne 'Galatea' Model 4006

The Longthorne ‘Galatea’ Model 4006 side-by-side shotgun is available in 12-gauge and chambered for 3” cartridges. It is proofed for High Performance Steel (up to ½ choke if fitted with multi chokes) and the 30” barrels are adorned with a beautifully intricate rose and scroll style engraving, adding an exquisite touch to its appearance.

The true sidelock action features traditional rose and scroll design engraving, exquisitely colour-hardened to enhance its aesthetic appeal. The standard forend metalwork includes rose and scroll engraving, a push-button release, and a standard splinter forend, combining functionality with ornate detailing.

The ‘Galatea’ exhibits an extended full-length beaded trigger guard, accentuated with a grip cap engraved in rose and scroll design, exemplifying the meticulous attention to detail Longthorne is renowned for. The top lever is engraved in a complementary rose and scroll design, adding further sophistication to the shotgun’s appearance.

Tailoring the shotgun for individual preferences, the stock is made-to-measure and can be configured as a semi-pistol grip, pistol grip, or designed for true left-handed use. Crafted from ‘Extra’ grade walnut, the stock is adorned with a silver stock oval that can be personalised with initials if desired.

This shotgun is delivered with the choice of a Malton bridle leather gun slip or an ABS case for exported models. Entirely manufactured and built at Longthorne’s Northampton factory in England, the ‘Galatea’ features patented barrel technology constructed from a single piece of steel without soldered joints. Additionally, it is proofed for High Performance Steel, ensuring low recoil and reduced muzzle flip for an unparalleled shooting experience.
