AYA Nº 56
AYA’s Nº 56 side-by-side shotgun, first introduced in 1941, has earned its place as a favoured companion in international live-pigeon shooting competitions. This specialised firearm is meticulously crafted to endure the relentless demands of continuous firing.
Weighing in at 7½lb for the 12-bore version, the Nº 56 boasts a sturdier and wider frame than conventional models. This is further fortified by a Purdey triple-bite bolting system and sideclips, eliminating any potential lateral flexing. The pistol grip and beavertail forend provide a steadfast hold, allowing for a secure and controlled shooting experience.
The barrels of the Nº 56 are extra long, with options extending up to an 30 inches. For added versatility, they can be ordered with a ventilated rib. The stock and engraving maintain the same high standards as the esteemed Nº 1 model. However, special attention is given to the strength of the grain around the grip, ensuring its resilience to the heightened stresses of competition.
The Nº 56 embodies AYA’s dedication to precision engineering, designed with British preferences in mind. Despite its exceptional quality, it remains competitively priced when compared to its London-made counterparts.
