AYA Nº 2
The Nº 2, a mainstay in AYA’s catalog, stands as the quintessential modern sidelock with a touch of classic English aesthetics.
Introduced in the 1950s, this round-bodied side-by-side exudes the essence of a premium London game gun. Mechanically akin to AYA’s flagship Nº 1 variant, it draws inspiration from the time-honoured Holland & Holland system.
Tipping the scales at approximately 6¾ pounds, the Nº 2 boasts standard walnut and tasteful scroll engraving. Its double-trigger sidelock configuration comes equipped with fixed-choke 28-inch chopper lump barrels as the standard option, though alternate lengths can be made upon request.
The Nº 2 is meticulously crafted to cater to British sensibilities, offering a compelling option compared to its London-made counterparts.
Notable features include a side-by-side hammerless sidelock mechanism with a forged steel action, incorporating a double locking mechanism and gas vents. Safety sears made of hardened steel ensure reliable operation, while gold-lined cocking indicators add a touch of refinement.
The Nº 2 showcases a concave rib, complemented by a straight hand, finely checkered, oil-finished walnut stock of grade 2 wood. Adorned with English scroll engraving, it bears an initial oval for a personalised touch. An automatic safety mechanism underscores responsible firearm handling.
This versatile shotgun is available with a choice of finishes: colour hardened, old silver, or white. Bore options include 12, 16, 20, 28, and .410, catering to various shooting preferences.
