The FAIR Carrera HSX Sporting represents the pinnacle of precision engineering, a product of exhaustive research and extensive field testing in top-tier competitions. Crafted from robust, high-resistance materials, the barrels undergo a specialised sandblasting process, culminating in an anti-flare finish.
A hallmark of the Carrera series, the barrels of the Carrera HSX boast the innovative X-CONES® system, expertly engineered to mitigate recoil and heighten shooting comfort. The stocks and fore-ends, fashioned from meticulously chosen walnut, exhibit fine-pitch laser checkering, delivering both a secure grip and a touch of timeless elegance. The Carrera HSX features an adjustable stock equipped with the XR-STOCK® system, allowing for customisation in height, right and left cast, and dip, tailored to individual preferences. This particular model is equipped with an “Hunting” stock.
The Carrera HSX Sporting is furnished with a fibre optic sight, complete with three interchangeable inserts in varying colours, providing adaptability to different shooting conditions. The XR-TRIGGER®, with an adjustable length extending over 14 mm, underscores the commitment to precision. With a magnum chamber of 76mm (3 inches) and TECHNICHOKE® SPORTING XP70 interchangeable chokes at 70mm (2 3⁄4 inches), this shotgun embodies versatility.
Demonstrating FAIR’s unwavering commitment to durability, the action bodies, trigger plates, iron fore-ends, and barrel extractor components are painstakingly milled from forged steel ingots. This steers clear of alloy receivers, favouring robust steel components. The slender-profiled action body houses internal batteries with a double safety notch, ensuring secure and reliable operation. A single oversize block, measuring 30.50 mm, rests on double lugs, contributing to the shotgun’s stability. The barrels, crafted from a special three-alloyed steel, are precision-machined from bored bars, featuring an internally chromed bore and chambers, thus enhancing longevity, corrosion resistance, and shot pattern dispersion.
Fine-pitch laser checkering, boasting a double grip pattern on the stock, further complements the Carrera HSX Sporting’s attention to detail. For left-handed shooters, a dedicated version is available, attesting to FAIR’s commitment to inclusivity.
