Wildcat have released its new Elite moderator range to cater to the the rise of shooters who fire a greater quantity of shots at greater distances with increasingly high performance powders and cartridges in the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) and Extreme Long Range (ELR) shooting disciplines, and hunters looking for more performance from their kit.

The Elite Range – An Overview
Wildcat felt that the traditional materials used in rifle moderators, such as aluminium, are not suited to the increase in wear and tear that shooters are now putting their moderators through, and thus the Elite series of sound moderators was born.
All Elite models feature a modular thread insert system which is available in 9 standard threads and can be changed by one of Wildcat’s authorised retailers should you ever replace your rifle with one that has a different muzzle thread (thread options: 14×1, 15×1, 17×1, 18×1, 18×1.5, 1/2×28, 5/8×24, 11/16×24, 3/4×24).
Wildcat Elite Ti Moderator
The Elite Ti is Wildcat’s flagship hunting moderator. Made completely from 100% Ti-6AI-4V it is low weight and magnum rated with far greater strength and durability than traditional aluminium designs.
This sound moderator uses modular thread inserts and a front mount dual core design to give it class leading performance while adding less length than some over barrel competitors.
Note: whilst titanium is incredibly strong it is susceptible to flame erosion under longer shot strings and high heat, so it is better suited for hunting rather than intense range use.

Wildcat Elite Moderator
The Elite has been designed to be the ultimate precision rifle moderator. It is primarily manufactured from 17-4 stainless steel, the same steel that is used in many competition muzzle brakes, which makes it perfect for high shot count situations.
A single billet of steel is used for the outer casing to minimise the number of joints within the moderator, increase structural strength and concentricity to the bore-line; this allows the moderator to be rated for magnum calibres.

Wildcat Elite Compact Moderator
The Elite Compact moderator is the little brother to the Elite. It provides the same levels of accuracy and durability in a shorter package. This is the ideal moderator if you wish to keep the length of your rifle to a minimum.
Just like the Elite, the Elite Compact is primarily constructed from 17-4 stainless steel, so it too is perfect for high shot count situations.
