About Sasta
In 1969 the fanatical outdoorsman and hunter Urpo Saastamoinen founded Sasta after failing to find clothing that would keep him warm, dry and comfortable whilst outdoors. Sasta is still run by the same family, and they continue to create high-quality garments using technical fabrics and tried-and-tested designs.
The Gilet
Depending on the season the lightweight and highly breathable Laavu Gilet makes a good mid-layer under a coat, or an ideal top-layer. The spacious side pockets have zips to keeps your valuables safe – there is nothing worse than getting back to the car and realising your keys could have fallen out anywhere in the last 3 miles of walking!
There are versions of the gilet for both men (Olive Green as seen above) and women (Patriot Blue as seen above). Both are made of the same great materials and will provide the same level of comfort and protection from the elements, however the ladies version has been designed and cut to provide a better fit.
