The Exeter is the newest knife design to be added to Salient’s lineup.
Salient is a British artisan knife maker that was founded in 2020. It offers premium handmade knives designed especially for the hunting, shooting and outdoors market. It takes 120 days to hand-make each knife that Salient produces.
The Exeter has been meticulously designed-in-house by brand founder, Marc Engall, and has been created specifically to be used for skinning and careful blade work. The Exeter is set apart from the rest of the Salient collection due to the smaller blade size and larger handle. These key features make it much easier to use for precise cutting work by knife novices and experienced hunters alike. You can easily alter the way you grip the knife to suit the type of cutting job you are performing, allowing for precise and accurate cuts.
The blade on the Exeter is 4mm thick Stainless Steel with a hollow-grind bevel and a hardness of 58 HRC. It can be laser engraved with either the Salient logo or full filigree scroll (as seen in the images), depending on your preference. The figured wood handle is Turkish walnut, with brass Loveless bolts, and the sheath is 3.5mm thick English leather.
Should you wish, you can further upgrade the Exeter as part of the Salient’s Master Collection. This sees the blade’s laser engraving upgraded to a bespoke hand-engraved option. The handle can also be checkered for additional grip and added aesthetic effect. Other upgrades available include changing the brass Loveless bolts to a variety of materials, including 24 carat gold, diamond encrusting, and personalising with initials.
Created by master craftsmen, these knives are true works of art that combine outstanding performance in the field with stunning looks. Exclusive and available on a made-to-order basis, these ultimate field sport knives are set to become prized heirloom pieces.
RRP: Prices start from £400 for the standard model, and from £3,300 for the Master Collection Model.
